Configuration and setup

At the beginning of each master controller scan, the current register and I/O status table are transferred to the hot standby via a high-speed, secure fiber-optic communication link. In the event of a primary controller failure, the standby option processor controls the system with the latest I/O and register status information to enable bump-free, controlled transfers while minimizing process impact. Critical processes that cannot tolerate any control interruptions ensure fast and smooth switching, resulting in 140ACI04000 resolution.

The single-board Modicon Hot Standby option processor in each controller system increases reliability by eliminating the intermediate Supervisor controller.

Quantum Detachable terminal block (part number 140XTS00200) for easy maintenance. The terminal block is connected by two screws and can be easily used with any input/output module in the Quantum series.

All Quinten I/O modules, including the 140ACI04000, are optically isolated from the bus for safe and trouble-free operation. This isolation also allows modules to be hot-swappable.

Alternatively, you can insert mechanical keys between the I/O module and the terminal block to ensure that the terminal block ensures the correct match of field wiring and module type. The key code for each module type is unique, and each I/O module comes with a key suite.

As an option, you can order modules with conformal coating by changing the part number to 140ACI04000C. The coating protects the module's internal circuitry from corrosive gases such as chlorine, nitric oxide, hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide.
