The ProSoft MVI69-MCM Modbus Network interface module is a CompactLogix inRAx Modbus RTU master/slave communication module. It provides an interface between Allen Bradley PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) and MicroLogix Programmable Logic Controller (1769-LRP) and Modbus connected compatible devices. The MVI69-MCM is mounted on a single chassis slot in the 1769 chassis, and it uses ladder logic to transfer data quickly and seamlessly between modules and processors. The MVI69-MCM has a maximum backplane current of 800 mA at 5 V DC.

It has an RS-232 CFG port that does not support a handshake configuration, it also has 2 RS-232 application ports (P1 and P2) that support the handshake protocol, and has 500 volt optical isolation from the backplane. The module comes with an RJ-45 (DB-9F) cable and an RJ-45 to DB-9M configuration cable, and features front panel LED indicators that show battery, application, and serial port status. The MVI69-MCM has data transfer rates of 110 Kilobaud to 115 Kilobaud, with zero, even, or odd parity options, and data is transferred in floating-point data format. It supports master/slave communication protocols, and configuration data is a text file provided directly to the module. The MVI69-MCM operates in a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5 to 95 percent and is GOST-R, DNV, c-UL-us and CE certified.
