The SST-PB3-REM module is an SST Profibus remote module designed by Woodhead. The remote module is the link device between the EIP and the PFB. The module is mounted using DIN rails. The slave station of this module is the PROFIBUS DPV0 unit. The type of network connection used in this module is the PROFIBUS nine-pin D-sub female connector. This module is compatible with Allen-Bradley peripherals. The module weighs 550 grams. The SST-PB3-REM module is a connection device designed for PROFIBUS-V0 and DP-V1 master-slave devices and can be used with Ethernet/IP adapters. The module uses 24 volts DC power supply. The module supports up to 5 listener connections. It supports explicit messaging for retrieving status and diagnostic information as well as I/O data.

The front panel of the SST-PB3-REM module is equipped with a screw terminal for connecting to a 24-volt DC power supply.
