The MVI56E Modbus TCP/IP client/Server Enhanced communication module allows Rockwell Automation ControlLogix processors to easily connect with Modicon Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs) and a wide range of Modbus TCP/IP compatible instruments and devices.

MVI56E enhancements include local and remote configuration and diagnostics via the module's Ethernet port, CIPconnect technology for bridging Rockwell Automation ControlNet and EtherNetIP networks, and an onboard Web server for accessing module documentation and sample program files.

The MVI56E-MNET and MVI56E-MNETXT are functionally identical. MVI56E-MNET is designed for standard process applications. The MVI56E-MNETXT is designed for Logix-XT control platforms, enabling them to operate in extreme environments, at higher operating temperatures, and with conformance coatings to protect them from harsh or corrosive conditions.
