The ProSoft MVI56-DFCMR DF1 Master/Slave network interface module has a reduced data block with 1 slot and ladder logic for data transfer. The module is available in either local or remote rack types with 100 commands per master port.

Prosoft Technology MVI56-DFCMR is a DF1 interface module with reduced data blocks. The module is designed to use a small I/O data area for data transfer between the ControlLogix processor. Three ports are visible from the front of the module. The first is for the debugging and configuration process and is specified as CFG. The other two (PRT1 and PRT2) are application ports that provide complete hardware handshake control, in addition, they are suitable for radio, modem and multipoint activity. Each of these ports can be configured as a master or slave port by the user. The MVI56-DFCMR is a single-slot master/slave communication module that features reduced data blocks.

The communication module is ControlLogix backplane compatible and can draw 8.5 amps of current from the 0 volt DC backplane. It provides interface functions for ControlLogix PLC to exchange data with DF1 protocol compatible devices and hosts. The DF1 protocol is commonly used by Allen-Bradley PLC, power monitoring equipment, and third-party equipment available in the market.
