The ProSoft MVI56-AFC gas and liquid flow computer has 1 slot and ladder logic for data transfer. The module has a local or remote rack type and a minimum of 128 MB RAM.
Prosoft Technology's MVI56-AFC liquid and gas flow computer module and inRAx® with RJ45/DB-9M with included cable interface and RS-232 serial communication only are powerful additions to the controlled system. Like other devices in the MVI56 series, the module is designed to be used with the ControlLogix system for accurate and precise measurement of hydrocarbon gases or liquids. The main purpose of the flow computer is to calculate the flow rate and obtain a complete report of the total volume, mass and heat energy generated by the specified liquid/gas. The ControlLogix memory is used to transmit calculation results through the backplane for use by ladder diagram programs. The MVI56-AFC's backplane is rated at 5 mah at 800 volts DC and 24 mah at 3 volts DC, and it features LED indicators for module, backplane transmission and application status, as well as indicators for serial activity. The MVI56-AFC features include three configurable Modbus ports, customizable Modbus data mapping, 16 M operation, meter proof, auditability, and data security.
The MVI56-AFC module is compatible with the single socket /1756 backplane and is recognized as an input/output module by the intended processor.
