With a single integrated structural design, the module is ideal for thousands of applications such as complex motion control, mining, water treatment, elevator control, high-speed packaging, injection molding, material handling, food processing, continuous emission monitoring, and more. By configuring only the required systems, critical space can be saved and reduced. In addition, it can be adapted to applications such as: digital interfaces (for buttons, switches, proximity sensors, relays, contactors and many other devices), analog modules (with different resolutions for flow, temperature or pressure applications), direct connection wiring or remote terminals, and local or remote I/O systems.

Bus switching is the oldest method of data exchange. The main feature of this method is that there is no special switching network chip, and the data is transferred between each line card through the shared backplane bus. Each line card occupies the backplane bus at a time. The structure and technology are relatively simple, but the switching capacity is limited by the bandwidth of the backplane bus, which makes it impossible to build a large-capacity system. With the increase of the bandwidth of the backplane bus, the synchronization control of the stream becomes a bottleneck. At present, the exchange capacity of the system using this switching mode is generally less than 32G, and it is generally a blocked system. This form of exchange is still used on some older models, and new systems will not use this form of exchange. This form of exchange will gradually be phased out.
