Balance the latest PC technology with the long-term availability of control components

Modern control panel technology does not stop at the choice of touch technology, which forms the basis for the operation of a machine or factory. The transmission of images and touch signals, combined with power or other digital signals, must work perfectly, continuously, mechanically and electrically in an industrial environment, and over long distances. To ensure this reliably, Beckhoff installed its own developed and manufactured panel electronics at its production site in Verl.

Rugged housing technology, modern and premium design

As a pioneer in PC-based automation, Beckhoff places the highest demands on the quality and modern design of its products. To harmonize the two, Beckhoff has been using solid aluminum as a raw material for its control panel housings since the 1990s. Aluminum has very good mechanical, electrical and thermal properties. The simplicity of its processing also allows for small batch production and the ability to adapt to the specific situation of the customer. Anodizing produces a high-quality and durable surface. In addition to aluminum, stainless steel is also used as a base material in some industries.

Advanced multi-touch operation scenario

In the process of universal digitization, advanced multi-touch operation scenarios have become an integral part of industrial applications. Machine operators rightfully expect their machines or systems to have the same user-friendliness as smartphones and tablets. At the end of 2012, Beckford took the lead in perfecting advanced multi-touch technology for harsh industrial environments and installed it in the CP29xx built-in control panel series and the CP39xx series with IP65 protection. By mounting the CP29xx panel on the front of the control cabinet, Beckhoff customers have access to a variety of different equipment models:

The control panel portfolio is complemented by TwinCAT HMI. The visualization software is optimally integrated into the TwinCAT environment, providing technical support for Beckhoff control panels for a variety of use cases with modern programming and parameter Settings.
