The 3BSC690076R5 supports a wide variety of serial data access operations to meet a wide range of application requirements (console management, Real COM, TCP server, TCP client, UDP, Modbus, serial tunnel, and virtual modem). This capability provides direct access from the PC to remote serial devices as if those products were located locally, and reduces the typical port number and distance limitations of PC hardware. The provided Windows utility automatically discovers all 3BSC690076R5 in a local area network (LAN) and allows one or more sn 3101 to be configured/monitored at a time - very simple to deploy at scale. In addition, because the device supports SMTP and SNMP traps, users can receive event notifications for active monitoring and response. In addition, the device provides secure data transfer, centralized access control, and Modbus Ethernet-to-serial support.
