A single PLC or positioning task can be broken down into multiple parallel tasks that are implemented through the EPAS-4 programming environment according to IEC 1131-3 standards. The PacDrive controller MAx-4 can connect up to 40 servo shafts and provide positioning data. The circular digital SERCOS real-time bus enables secure data exchange with the MC-4 motor controller. Due to the use of fiber optic technology, the data bus is not sensitive to electromagnetic interference and periodically provides new setpoints for the distributed MC-4 motor controller at a data rate of 4MBaud.
