The PCI-6624 (Part number: 778834-01) Counter/timer device has eight counters, each with three separate isolated inputs and one isolated output. The counter/timer device performs a variety of counter/clock tasks, including occasion counting, epoch/frequency estimation, and pulse preparation generation. In addition, example applications include generation of retrigger pulses, estimation of dual signal edge division, consistent pedestal event counting, and estimation of sustained buffered pulse trains. The NI PCI-6624 provides key modern rugged features for a wide range of applications such as automotive/aerospace, mechanical/motion control and assembly testing. The device is equipped with a 100-pin female SCSI-II I/O connector.
The PCI-6624 counter/timer device has 34 PFI lines with 8 outputs and 26 inputs. The PFI cable is unidirectional and can be set to output or input. Input cannot be configured as output.
