The NI PCI-4552 device features 4 analog inputs, 16-bit input resolution, 204.8 kS/ s sampling rate, ±10 mV to ± 42.4V input range, differential/single-ended input configuration, 8 digital I/ O, and analog / Digital trigger. NI's PCI 4552 Dynamic Signal Acquisition is a high-performance, extremely accurate analog I/ O instrument designed for PCI buses. This model can perform DIO functions, external trigger functions, and counter/timer functions.
The NI PCI-4552 device uses differential (DIFF) input. The user can configure the input as a reference single-ended (SE) channel using the BCN-2140 DSA attachment. When PCI-4552 is in DIFF mode, one line is connected to the positive input of the channel, while the other line is connected to the negative input of the channel. The user can link the differential input to the SE or DIFF signal, and can choose a ground reference or floating signal. However, it is important to note that grounding the negative input of a floating source can improve measurement quality by eliminating common mode noise.
On the NI PCI-4552 dynamic signal acquisition device, the user can configure a trigger circuit to monitor an analog input channel to generate a level trigger. However, selecting an input channel as a level-triggered channel does not affect the functionality of the input channel.
The trigger level range is the same as the analog input voltage range. In addition, the trigger level resolution is the same precision as the selected input range on the PCI-4552.
