Gpib-pciia (part numbers: 776113-01 and 776113-51) is an IEEE 488-compatible GPIB interface designed for computers with ISA slots. NI GPIB-PCIIA is produced by NI manufacturers. Compatible boards with GPIB interfaces based on NEC μPD7210 are interface boards based on GPIB-PCIIB boards and TI-TMS 9914A controller chips. By using the National Instruments GPIB-PCIIA GPIB interface, PCS, PC/XT, IBAM, PCAT, and many other systems can be converted into fully functional and operational listeners, speakers, and IEEE 488.2 controllers. This conversion can be accomplished by using the NI GPIB-PCIIA interface with the equipped NAT4882 ASIC.
The GPIB-PCIIA can connect up to 14 other instruments using standard GPIB cables. These connections to the NI GPIB-PCIIA interface can be increased by using NI's bus extensions or extensions.
