National Instruments SCXI-2000 chassis

The NI SCXI-2000 case can accommodate up to 4 SCXI modules. The chassis is powered by a conventional AC power supply to provide a noise-minimised environment for signal conditioning and to provide power and control circuits for the SCXI module. The universal chassis can be used with current and future SCXI modules, making it ideal for users with multiple application needs. The SCXI 2000 also offers several types of optional devices to amplify, filter, isolate, and multiplex different signal types, including: thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors, strain gauges, digital I/O signals, analog outputs, current inputs, and high-voltage inputs. In addition, cables and terminals with screw terminals, BNC connectors or thermocouple plugs are available to connect the user's modules.

The NI SCXI-2000 case comes with NI-DAQ driver software. NI-DAQ has an extended library of functions that can be called by users from their application programming Settings. Some of these features include sequences for analog input, buffered data acquisition, analog output, waveform generation, digital I/O, counter/timer operation, SCXI, RTSI, self-calibration, messaging, and getting information to extended memory.

On the front panel of the NI SCXI-2000, a stateful LED is used to specify the chassis activity. There is also an RS-232 connector, a power switch, an indicator light, a reset button, slot 0/ power supply, backplane, DIP switch, module rail, and front thread bar. On the rear panel, there are rear thread bars, rear connector space, power input module, fuse, backplane fuse, fan and filter, and voltage selection wheel.
