NI SCXI-1520 (Part number: 777966-20, 186338-01) Universal strain gauge input modules can be used with SCXI-1314 screw terminals, SCXI-1310 connector and housing assemblies, TBX-96 rail mounting terminals, or SCXI-1314T RJ-50 terminals. The DC coupler has 8 analog input channels. It provides users with all the features needed for direct or more complex strain - and bridge-based sensor measurements. One of these features is the ability to read signals from strain, load, force, torque and pressure sensors. Another advantage of this module is the automatic calibration function under changing conditions. There is also a programmable amplifier and a programmable 4-pole Butterworth filter on each channel to provide accurate strain measurement. The 4-pole Butterworth filter provides sharp cutoff features to block noise while maintaining the highest flatness in the passband. Each channel also has a separate 0 to 10 V programmable excitation source, and each channel has remote detection capabilities. Another useful feature of the SCXI 1520 module is the synchronous sample Hold function. This feature utilizes sampling hold or T/H circuits for synchronous sampling applications.
