The NI SCXI-1350 (Part number: 776575-50) requires the SCXI chassis, SCXI module, data acquisition board, cable, computer, and small flat head screwdriver to use the adapter. The multi-chassis adapter allows users to connect a multi-chassis system to a data acquisition board. The SCXI 1350 can use the following modules: SCXI-1163, SCXI-1100, SCXI-1162, SCXI-1120, SCXI-1161, SCXI-1140, SCXI-1160, and SCXI-1121. In addition, the SCXI-1181 test board module and SCXI-1180 Feedthrough board can be connected to any data acquisition board via a 50-pin or 100-pin ribbon cable.

This multi-case adapter has a male back connector, a female module connector, and a male case extender connector. Users can connect the rear connector to the data acquisition board or previous chassis using a ribbon cable. The module connector plugs into the signal connector on the back of the SCXI module, while another ribbon cable connects the case connector to the multi-case adapter in the following case.

The analog channel 1 of the MIO board is linked to the analog output of the second chassis, and so on.
