The NI SCXI-1338 (Part number: 777687-38) can be used with the SCXI-1120, SCXI-1120D, SCXI-1125 or SCXI-1126 modules. The terminal can be installed on the front of the SCXI module and has a shielding function for fast and simple signal connection. The SCXI-1338 8-channel current input terminals are ideal for high-precision current measurement. Each input has a 249 ohm precision resistor, enabling users to read current inputs of 0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA. The terminal has 18 screw terminals for simple connection. Eight pairs of screw terminals are used for signal connection to the eight module inputs, while the remaining pair of terminals are connected to the SCXI chassis grounding. The device has a maximum operating voltage of 300 Vrms or ±300 VDC.

National Instruments SCXI-1338 terminals measure current and voltage sources. When measuring a voltage signal, the user must remove the current loop resistance of that particular input channel. The user can identify the resistor of a certain channel by its reference indicator, which matches the channel through which the resistor passes. For example, input channel 0 has a resistor R0 at both ends of the channel.
