The SCXI 1331 (Part number: 777687-31) terminal mounts on the front of the SCXI-1127 or SCXI-1128 multiplexer/matrix switch module and provides 64 screw terminals for connection. When using the SCXI-1127 or SCXI-1128 thermocouple to scan the voltage signal, or when the user needs a matrix configuration beyond 8 columns x 4 rows, the SCXI-1331 is the best choice. The SCXI 1331 can be configured with the SCXI-1127/1128 switch modules as 64 x 1, 1-wire matrix, 32 x 1, 2-wire matrix, or 16 x 1, 4-wire matrix. This universal terminal is designed for signal conditioning and cold end compensation. The NI SCXI-1331 is recommended for multiplexer or custom matrix applications. It has a maximum voltage of 300 V (CAT II) and a maximum current of 2 ADC, 2 AAC (per channel).

The 64 screw terminals on the NI SCXI-1331 terminals enable the user to access the matrix. The terminal also has terminals for external trigger signals. When users are ready to connect the signal to the SCXI-1331, they must first prepare the signal wire by stripping the insulation layer (no more than 7 mm from the end of the wire). Then, remove the top cover screws and remove the top cover. The user can then loosen the two stress relief screws on the stress relief bar and thread the signal wire through the stress relief opening. Next, place the stripped end of the wire completely into the terminal and secure the wire by tightening the screw of the terminal.
