The SCXI 1322 (Part number: 777687-22) is designed for the SCXI-1122 module. The terminal is installed on the front of the SCXI module. The NI SCXI-1322 has an onboard sensor for cold end compensation and can be used in many measurement applications where isolation is required. The temperature sensor terminal has 48 screw terminals for easy connection to the SCXI-1122 input connector. 16 Pair of screw terminals are connected to the input end of the NI SCXI-1122. The other seven pairs of screw terminals are used for module excitation channels.

The National Instruments SCXI-1322 terminal has two terminals: VEX/SENSE+ and VEX/SENSE-. When resistors R3 and R4 are loaded (which is the factory default), the user can use VEX/SENSE+ and VEX/ Sense-terminals as VEX+ and VEX-terminals accordingly. For example, when the load is heavy and all 16 channels are connected to 16 120 Ω strain gauge half-bridges, the user should remove resistors R3 and R4 to modify the VEX/SENSE+ and VEX/ Sense-terminals to detect the terminals. Terminals must be connected to VEX+ and VEX- leads at the load for remote sensing. Therefore, they will compensate for the voltage drop in the excitation lead. Since the SCXI-1122 module provides a voltage excitation channel, the user can remotely detect its excitation voltage at a load location. The user can use a pair of excitation leads to withstand all the load. However, if remote sensing is not used, the user must use a separate pair of excitation leads for each load.
