The SCXI-1314 (Part number: 777687-14) is designed for use with the SCXI-1520 Universal strain/bridge module. This combination allows the user to easily connect the strain gauge via screw terminals. The 88 screw terminals on the wiring terminal are configured in 8 groups with 11 screw terminals in each group. Each group corresponds to a channel on the SCXI-1520 module. Each channel input has screw terminals connected to the SCXI-1520 input. In addition, there are two precision 100 kΩ shunt calibration resistors and a precision quarter bridge finish resistor.

The SCXI 1520 module has relays that switch resistors in and out of the input circuit to provide shunt calibration and quarter-bridge completion. The quarter-bridge finish resistor has a factory default of 350 Ω and can be used with 350 Ω strain gauges. The resistor is installed in a socket on the terminal, so the user can effortlessly replace it with a resistor that fits the user's specific strain gauge. If the user's application requires a 120 Ω strain gauge, eight 120 Ω resistors can be used.

Installing SCXI-1314 terminals requires several items. First, you need the SCXI chassis.
