The SCXI-1313 (Part number: 777687-13) is a shielded terminal designed for use in the SCXI-1125 module. Each channel on the SCXI 1313 has a precision 100:1 resistance divider that allows users to measure voltages up to 300 VRMS or ±300 VDC with the SCXI-1125. For low voltage measurement applications, the user can bypass the voltage divider separately. The NI SCXI-1313 terminal has 18 screw terminals for simple signal connection. A pair of screw terminals are connected to the SCXI-1125 module chassis grounding. The other 8 pairs of screw terminals connect the signal to 8 analog inputs.
The user can enable or disable the attenuator on the NI SCXI 1313 by changing the standard configuration Settings of the terminal in the Measurement & Automation Explorer. Another option is for the user to change the range of input limits in their application. If the user uses a virtual channel, the input limits configured in the virtual channel configurator are used to correctly specify the attenuation circuit.
Terminals are run using NIDAQmx driver software, which is compatible with software packages or application development environments such as LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI. The device can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool.
The SCXI-1313 terminal has a temperature sensor that outputs voltages from 1.91 to 0.65 V over a temperature range of 0 to 50°C. If the user is using LabVIEW, it is possible to convert the thermistor reading. Users should utilize many samples to obtain the most accurate reading. Noisy conditions require more samples to ensure accuracy.
