The SCXI-1129 (Part number: 776572-29) is a 256-crosspoint high-density matrix module with a maximum scan rate of 100 crosspoint per second. The module offers a maximum configuration of a 4 x 64, 2-wire switch matrix on the SCXI platform. The NI SCXI-1129 matrix/multiplexer switch module can also be used as four 4 x 16, 2-wire matrices; Two 4 x 32, 2-line matrices; Or two 8 x 16, 2-line matrices. The Standard Matrix language defines matrices by the number of rows and the number of columns they contain. The SCXI-1129 module can be configured into a variety of matrices via the terminals.

The SCXI 1129 module operates well at both low and high voltages. For low voltage measurements, the module uses a relay with a thermal offset of < 9 μV to ensure accurate measurements. The device is available in electromechanical, latching and non-latching relay types. The matrix/multiplexer switch module supports analog buses with a specific adapter, namely the high voltage analog bus backplane adapter in the SCXI-1357/1358 kit on the back of the module. The adapter enables users to extend the high voltage analog bus backplane adapter without complex cabling. If users connect multiple modules to a high-voltage analog bus backplane adapter, they can expand the matrix size without the need for external row or column connectors. The SCXI-1129 module can be used with one of the following terminals: SCXI-1336, SCXI-1333, SCXI-1335, SCXI-1337, SCXI-1334 or SCXI-1339.

When a user installs the NI SCXI-1129 module in an SCXI chassis, the rightmost slot (when viewing the chassis from the front) must be the initial slot filled. The user can then proceed to fill the left slot with the next SCXI-1129. Other SCXI modules can be loaded from left to right.
