The NI SCXI-1125 voltage input module (Part number: 776872-25) provides 300 Vrms of operational isolation and low-pass filtering for each analog input channel (all 8 channels). Its architecture is ideal for the enhancement and limitation of millivolt sources, volt sources, 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, and thermocouples. The SCXI-1125 can reuse eight channels into a single channel in the DAQ gadget, while also allowing users to add modules to expand the number of channels. The module also provides parallel mode operation to extend the output capability.

The NI SCXI-1125 includes calibration hardware that invalidates error sources. With programmable offset calibration, a software-programmable analog switch ground the input to each instrument enhancer for offset error calibration. The locally available EEPROM stores the calibration constant for each channel in the customer signature area for each input extension. The EEPROM also stores the arrangement of the factory calibration constant in permanent memory, which cannot be changed. The NI-DAQ driver software directly uses the calibration constant to verify the gain and offset errors. The device has an output range of ± 5.0V and weighs 22.6 ounces.
