National Instruments FD-11637 Strain/bridge input equipment for FieldDAQ

The NI FD-11637 (Part number: 785641-01) is a strain/bridge input device from National Instruments with integrated voltage excitation and bridge completion. The 8-channel model is designed for FieldDAQ systems and supports full bridge, slot bridge, and half-bridge sensors. This model also offers shunt calibration, offset zeroing and anti-aliasing filtering to improve measurement accuracy by reducing the adverse effects of noise. The NI FD-11637 is water and dust resistant and offers IP67 protection. The strain/bridge input device can operate in a position where the temperature is maintained between -40 °C and 85 °C.

The NI FD-11637 is equipped with an integrated network switch and time-sensitive networking, or TSN. In addition, it has a built-in power supply. As a result, the device is able to run alongside other similar devices because it is equipped with all the resources needed for a Daisy chain. The device, which can be programmed using NI-DAQmx, is an excellent solution for automatic synchronization between various on-site DAQ™ devices. The device's eight analog input channels are electrically isolated from each other and from the chassis.

The FD-11637 is capable of sampling simultaneously across all of its input channels and can be synchronized and networked with devices that support IEEE 802.1AS. For networking, the model comes with two 8-pin M12 Ethernet ports with internal switching. The two 5-pin M12 type power connectors included in the device provide two auxiliary power cables, called Aux 1 and Aux 2. You can use these auxiliary power cables to power other devices on your network.
