The GE Universal stability board DS3800DMPK1E1D features 14 erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules. The GE universal pressure stabilizer DS3800DMPK1E1D also has two 34-pin ribbon cables, two single-pin connectors, and 17 jumpers.

The EPROM module is not installed in the DS3800DMPK1E1D module slot of the new GE universal pressure stabilization board. The slots are embedded into the circuit board, and the modules are designed to be installed or removed as needed. To remove the module, slide the flat-head screwdriver between the module and the sockets on both ends of the module. Gently shake the blade to lift the module out of the socket. Then, the same process is performed on the other side of the module. Place the module in an ESD bag immediately. The data on the module is easily damaged by static electricity, and the bag will prevent static electricity from entering the module.

Find the same socket on the replacement board and align it with the socket. Gently press it into the socket with your fingers. Check the connection between the socket and the module to see if there is any space between them. If necessary, press the socket to ensure full connection to the module. Place the replacement board on a flat ESD bag when installing a module.

You must also check the jumpers on the defective circuit board and note the location of each jumper. That is, note whether the jumper covers pins 1 and 2 or pins 2 and 3. Find the same jumper on the replacement board, then move the jumper on it to match the position.
