By combining the MC68060 superstandard performance with a wide range of optional features and IndustryPack interfaces, Oems can choose the exact product for their application without paying for unwanted features.

The new "Petra" application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) replaces the functions previously implemented in IP2 chips, MC2 chips and MCECC chips, and improves the performance of the memory subsystem. The memory configuration switch enables users to customize the memory size for applications that require a smaller memory configuration.
