Kol Morgen/Drivers are SynqNet servo drives based on the field-proven SERVOSTAR CD drive family. The power level is the same as the CD, while the control level is a dedicated SynqNet design. CD SynqNet is designed as a torque driver, and the SynqNet controller provides torque commands at a high servo update rate. Extensive I/O support is available, including inputs for specific functions such as limit switches, Home and Brake, as well as numerous general-purpose I/ OS. CD SynqNet provides an n-division function that enables it to be programmed to generate an output pulse for every N driver encoder counter register counts.

SynqNet is a high-performance, fully digital synchronous network designed for multi-axis motion control applications. SynqNet's physical layer is based on the IEEE 802.3 standard 100BASE-TX, the physical layer of Ethernet, while SynqNet's data link and application layer is specifically designed for motion control applications. The 100BASE-TX media system is based on the specifications published in the ANSI TP-PMD Physical Media Standard. The 100BASE-TX system operates through two pairs of wires, one for "receiving" data signals and the other for "sending" data signals.
