The CC-PCNT02 control builder provides a graphical engineering environment where engineers can configure Experion systems and create control policies by using various functional blocks available in the library. C300 CEE-based control policies can be configured to have a minimum execution rate of 50 milliseconds.
TC/RTD IOM supports configuration parameters for sensor detection to be turned on before PV delivery. With the OTD configuration active, the PV is sampled and held while the OTD cycle is performed within the same measurement window. If OTD is negative, PV propagates upward through the system.
If OTD is positive, PV is set to NAN and input channel soft failure is set. In this way, no improper control action can occur for PV values that are invalid due to the thermocouple's open circuit. PV sampling/reporting does not add latency due to OTD processing.
