The HONEYWELL CC-MCAR02 has an axial pilot valve with external piping, which is smaller to install and reduces the chance of external damage. It can also be manufactured in stainless steel with WRAS approval.

CC-MCAR02 interchangeable pilot regulator for axial pressure reducing valves. Conventional diaphragm-type pilot-operated globe valves, commonly used for pressure control, force the medium to constantly change direction as it passes through the valve, resulting in pressure loss and limiting the maximum achievable flow rate.

CC-MCAR02 In axial valves, fluid flows along the radial torus around the axial seat and spring housing, passing directly through the valve with minimal deviation, maximizing speed and reducing pressure loss.

Compared to shut-off valves, straight-through channels reduce downstream turbulence, provide greater flow for a given pipe size, and are more reliable because there is no diaphragm tearing or breaking. Installation is simplified by reducing housing size and weight, allowing it to be installed in a more compact space with less emphasis on pipe and valve support methods.
