The SecureStack A2 Stack switch family provides cost-effective Layer 2 switching with up to 384 10/100 ports with 16 gigabit uplink in a single stack. Reliability support ensures availability for closed-loop stacking, redundant core connectivity, redundant power options and redundant stack management.
Each SecureStack A2 switch has two mini-GBIC (SFP) ports and two fixed-port 10/100/1000 ports, which can be used as standard Ethernet uplink, but can also be used as stack ports, supporting up to 2 Gbps of bidirectional bandwidth between any two adjacent switches. Any combination of the SecureStack A2 switches allows mixing 24 and 48-port 10/100,100Base-FX and Ethernet Ethernet electrical port network cores using copper cores, multimode fiber and/or single-mode fiber gigabits. Closed-loop stacking is implemented, which ensures that the failure of a single switch or stack cable connection does not affect the entire stack operation.
SecureStack A2 Stacks are automatically configured to allow stack switching units to add or remove minimal API interrupts. A maximum of eight SecureStack switches can be stacked using a single IP address for stack management. The conversion service supports standards-based conversions for all SecureStack A2 switches.
