The 1C31194G01 digital input module contains 16 channels, each with a voltage level detection circuit to detect whether the input is on or off. The module is designed to provide 16 isolated differential inputs or 16 single-ended (common return) digital inputs with on-card fuse detection for auxiliary power. The choice of this personalization module determines whether the input to 1C31194G01 is differential or single-ended. The input voltage level monitored by the module is determined by the specific card group in the module. Figure 10-1 shows the magnetic field side circuit in single-ended configuration and the differential configuration in Figure 10-2. Input resistors provide normal mode surge protection and limit current during normal operation. An optical isolator provides a high 1C31194G01 dielectric isolation or I/O bus side between the field side and the logic side.
