The Allen-Bradley 1756-OB8 is a ControlLogix discrete output module. The module has an output voltage range of 10-30 VDC and a nominal value of 24VDC. It is used to power electrical loads operating at DC voltage as well as AC loads, in conjunction with plug-in circuits.
The 1756-OB8 is a single-slot module that can occupy any available slot in the case except the leftmost slot, which is used for the ControlLogix processor or the ControlLogix communication adapter/scanner module. It is compatible as a local I/O component or as part of a distributed I/O system. It can be installed on any available 1756-ControlLogix chassis and runs along a standard or PSU.
