Allen-Bradley 1756-OF8H is an analog output module for the ControlLogix controller platform. The module primarily has eight (8) voltage or current output channels that can be configured for 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA current output signals as well as +/-10VDC voltage output signals. The 1756-OF8H has a module resolution of 15-16 bits across all signal ranges. It comes with an internal digital-to-analog converter (DAC), uses R-Ladder DAC, monotone lossless code conversion method, and data format in integer mode (left-justified, 2-second complement) IEEE 32-bit floating-point. This module is installed in the 1756 ControlLogix chassis and occupies only one slot. It can be used as a local IO module and a remote I/O module component. For terminating signal lines, the module is equipped with detachable terminal blocks (RTB). This RTB can be replaced with 1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH and has user-defined mechanical RTB keying. Applicable wire diameters are 0.33-2.1 mm2 (22-14 AWG) when using the 1756-TBNH for single wire connections and 0.33... 1.3mm 2 (22... 16 AWG) for two-wire connections. The 1756-TBSH supports single-wire connections only and is designed for 0.33... 1.3mm 2 (22... 16 AWG) Wire size. The 1756-OF8H has a continuous isolation voltage rating of 50V. Module isolation is only between the output channel and the backplane. There is no separate isolation for each output channel. In addition, the module's open circuit detection time is suitable for current configurations only, with a maximum overvoltage protection of +/ -24 VDC.


Allen-Bradley's 1756-OF8H ControlLogix Voltage/current analog Output module is an analog output module with eight voltage or current outputs, each with a HART modem. Unlike other analog I/O modules, the 1756-OF8H provides open circuit detection, and the circuit detection time must be set to less than 0.1 mA. Its current build up time (without HART) is slightly less than 23ms, less than 37ms with HART, and voltage build up time with resistance load ranges from 8.5ms to 95%. Its calibration accuracy (HART free) is 0.1% (voltage) and 0.15% (current), and its standard calibration interval is about 12 months. The 1756-OF8H offset drift is 100 V/°C or 200nA/°C, and the module's overall module error is 0.15% (voltage) or 0.3% (current). It has T4 North America, ATEX and IEC temperature codes and is available in an open housing grade. The 1756-OF8H operates at a temperature range of 0 ° C to 60 ° C, with a relative humidity of 5-95% and no condensation.
