The 1756-L84EP module is a controller module designed by Allen-Bradley for their ControlLogix 5580 system. It supports 20 MB of user memory and a total of 128,000 I/ OS. The maximum number of digital and analog I/ OS supported by the controller is 128,000 and 4000 respectively. The controller comes with an SD card with a capacity of 2 GB that can be used as additional non-volatile memory. At 1.2 volts DC, the 1756-L84EP consumes 5.0 milliamps, and at 5.1 volts DC, the controller consumes 1.20 amps. The power consumption of the operating controller is 6.2 watts and the heat dissipation of the operating controller is 21.2 BTU per hour. The controller can be used with standard and redundant power modules. The isolation rating on the controller is 50 V, from USB to the system backplane and from the Ethernet port to the system backplane.
