The Allen-Bradley 1756-L83EP processor is a ControlLogix processor unit based on EtherNet/IP communication networks. It comes with 32 tasks, each with 1000 programs and an unlimited number of event triggers. The device has a maximum number of digital I/ OS of 128,000 and analog I/ OS of 4,000. The module provides users with a communication speed of 12 Mbps and the option to support 100 or 250 Ethernet nodes. The 1756-L83EP processor has 10 MB of user memory capacity and 50 volts of isolation (continuous). It has a heat dissipation rating of 21.2 BTU per hour and a power rating of 6.2 watts. The device has a current consumption of 1.2 amps at 5.1 volts and 1.2 mA at 5 volts DC.

THE 1756-L83EP processor also supports other optional communication options, including THE EtherNet, ControlNet, EtherNet/IP, and third-party options such as device networking.
