The 1756-IA16IK input module is a ControlLogix 120 volt AC rated isolated input module designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This module is one of the most efficient because it takes up very little space on 1 digit input. The module has 16 isolated digital inputs and other advantages are the ability to be replaced without interfering with the wiring of the surrounding sensors, as well as the ability to operate in environments with high humidity and temperature, as well as dangerous gases. The 1756-IA16IK input module has 16 status indicators that show which input is active. The input is triggered by an externally generated voltage that can range from 79 to 132 volts AC (47 to 63 Hz). The cycle update time of this module is always less than 750 milliseconds, but can be reduced by 1000 times. It provides 125 V AC isolation voltage input to input and input to backplane.
