The CamCon 1756-DICAM digital CAM switch unit is designed for the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 1756 PLC system. It is used in industrial applications where switching operations are repeated on a regular basis. Digital CAM switches are an ideal alternative to mechanical switching units, and they offer additional advantages including a simple installation and adjustment process, repeatable adjustment process, reliability, high-speed switching and speed compensation. Interfaces on the 1756-DICAM CAM switch include the ControlLogix 1756 backplane bus interface and an optional RS-485 interface for testing. The number of outputs and inputs can be expanded to 200 with external interface options.


1756-DICAM CAM switch supports 1200 programmable cams. Depending on the application requirements, the number of cams can be increased to 4000 or even 10,000. Three data storage options are available, including 16 KB, 48 KB or 128 KB EEPROM. 1756-DICAM CAM switch supports 32,768 programs.
