The Allen-Bradley 1756-DHRIOXT is an extreme environment product in the ControlLogix Data Highway Plus/Remote I/O communication module. It supports Data Highway Plus - DH+ messaging, control and information protocol - CIP messaging, and remote I/O communication. The 1756-DHRIOXT facilitates communication between devices on different networks, and it can route messages through up to three chassis and four communication networks.
Our ControlLogix® systems use connectivity to establish communication between devices. Our rack-based Bulletin 1756 communication module can help establish these connections and implement network-based access control for users, devices, and networks in the 1756 rack. We offer a variety of modules that support EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, and other networking protocols.
The 1756-DHRIOXT supports 32 logical rack connections per remote I/O channel and 16 block transport connections per remote I/O channel. The DH+ connection allows each DH+ channel to send a maximum of 32 DH+ messages. DH+ communication rate is 57.6 Kbps; RIO is 57.6 Kbps, 115.2 Kbps, and 230.4 Kbps. It has a current consumption of 850 mA at 5.1V DC and 1.7 mA at 24V DC. It also supports up to 32 Logix connections.
The chassis based 1756-DHRIOXT can be inserted into any slot on the backplane. It is compatible with 1756-A4LXT, 1756-A5XT, 1756-A7XT ControlLogix enclosures and standard 1756-PBXT power supplies. It has two ports that can be selected separately for DH+ or remote I/O. It has 30V (continuous) isolation voltage and basic insulation type. As the ControlLogix-XT model, it operates in a temperature range of -25-70 °C (-13-158 °F).
