The 1203-GK5 module is mounted on a DIN rail system and is connected to SCANport products using SCANport cables. Some of the features on the module include DIP switches that enable users to configure the module before connecting it to the DeviceNet network. The module also has a failed node recovery system that enables users to change the node address of the device. User fault response configuration allows users to customize adapter operations based on communication errors, and leds help diagnose network and SCANport health. The following tools and equipment are required to set up the 1203-GK5: DeviceNet communication module (1203-GK5), 5-pin or 10-pin plug-in connectors, 35 x 7.5mm DIN rail, 1/8 "flat head screwdriver, and appropriate cables for SCANport and DeviceNet connection.
