Allen Bradley SMC-3 controller
The Allen Bradley SMC-3 Solid State Soft Starter is a low voltage, compact and affordable smart motor controller with true three-phase control for superior speed control and smoother, safer motor start and stop. The SMC-3 includes overload protection, integrated bypass, and motor and system diagnostics to give you a flexible motor control solution that reduces downtime and increases productivity.
When the motor reaches full speed to generate effective heat reduction, the embedded bypass automatically shuts off. For quick diagnosis, the SMC-3 also has a hold test/press reset button that detects faults and resets the device. LED display provides real-time status indication and AIDS in fault diagnosis. Due to its convenient compact size, this device uses less panel space and is easy to install. DIP switches ensure efficient and safe setup as they allow setting start/stop profiles, built-in overloads, connection types, trip levels and auxiliary contact characteristics.
Integrated into your motor control system, the SMC-3 reduces stress/impact on mechanical components due to reduced starting torque, helping to extend the service life of the equipment. It prevents machine damage when single-phase conditions are detected by line and motor diagnostics. Due to lower Peak current during start-up, system maintenance is reduced, resulting in lower operating costs.
