The 1394-SJT22-A is a 1394 GMC turbocharging system module that is part of Alan Bradley's 1394 multi-axis motion control system. The system module is basically used for analog servo systems and provides digital servo drivers with +/ -10VDC interface.
The system module is installed on the far left of the 1394 assembly, which includes the shaft module, the bus connector, and the terminal resistor. Each module is mounted via a sliding lock mechanism and fasteners that are precisely aligned with each other.
This system module adopts RS232/422 communication mode and supports DH485 communication protocol. It has the option to install Remote I/O communication (RIO) and AxisLink communication interfaces.
When installing this system module or any other product in a 1394 system, the ambient temperature of the installation location must not be greater than 50.0 degrees Celsius, and the installation is on a flat, stable vertical surface. The installation panel should have minimal impact and vibration, and the environment should be free of moisture, oil, dust, and corrosive gases.
This system module has no internal shunt resistance. An external shunt module must be installed. Compatible shunt resistors include 1394-SR9A, -SR9AF, -SR36A or -SR36AF manufactured by Allen Bradley. The shunt module generates a lot of heat. Due to the natural rise of hot air, instruments or components that may be affected by hot air may not be installed on top of the external shunt module. The top clearance is 254 mm(10.0 in) and the sides 155 mm(6.1 in), including the bottom area of the system module.
