The Allen-Bradley 1794-IE12 is a high-density analog input module in the Flex I/O product family. The module is mainly used to interface analog devices such as transmitters, indicators, recorders, single loop and multi-loop controllers.

The 1794-IE12 has 12 analog input channels that can be configured with 0 to 20mA, 4 to 20mA, +/- 10VDC, and 0 to 10VDC input signal types. It has an integrated analog to digital conversion circuit, using successive approximation, voltage resolution of 320 V/cnt, current resolution of 0.641 A/cnt. The analog data format is stored in a 16-bit left-justified register with a conversion rate of 8.0 ms across all channels. The absolute accuracy of the 1794-IE12 is 0.1% full scale @ 25°C, with voltage and current input accuracy drifting to 0.004% full scale /°C.

The 1794-IE12 is designed for the 1794-TB3G and 1794-TB3GS terminal bases. Only one terminal base is required for each module. When the module is installed to the corresponding terminal base, the expected key switch position is 3. The key switch position is a foolproof hardware installation key that prevents the wrong module from being installed to the wrong terminal block.
