Allen-Bradley 1771-OBD is a sixteen (16) channel, non-isolated output module that is part of the 1771 product announcement. This module is particularly suitable for the PLC5 product family and is commonly used to power electrical loads powered by DC, such as pilot lamps, relay coils, electromagnetic drive devices and other equipment. It has an output voltage range of 10-60 VDC and a nominal voltage output of 48 VDC.
The output channel of the 1771-OBD is rated 2a, resistance, no more than 8a per module, and 0.2 A per pilot operating output. When the minimum load current of the module is 2.5 mA, the minimum surge current rating for each channel is 4 A output every 10 ms, repeatable every 2 s, and the maximum output every 10 ms is 25 A, repeatable every 2 s.
