Allen-Bradley 1771-NC6 is a cable for connecting remote terminal panels or rtp to Allen-Bradley 1771-N series analog modules. The Allen-Bradley 1771-N module is used to work with Allen-Bradley PLC-3, PLC-5, and Allen-Bradley PLC-5/250 programmable controllers when the module and programmable controller are connected via a cable such as the 1771-NC6 cable. The 1771-N module is designed for applications that require high resolution and good noise resistance. These modules use 16-bit analog-to-digital converters and 14-bit analog-to-digital converters to achieve the required resolution and precision. The N-Series modules are designed and tested to provide 1000V isolation between all channels, ensuring that noisy signals, voltage transients or short circuits/overloads on one channel do not affect any other channels. It needs to be calibrated once a year and can be calibrated by a PLC processor.

The 1771-N series modules are designed for use with Remote Terminal Panels (rtp) with 1771-NC6 cables. The input/output wiring is terminated on the RTP field wiring connector, and prefabricated cables (such as the 1771-NC6) are used to connect the RTP to the 1771-N I/O module for operation. The 1771-NC6 is a 6-foot (1.8 m) cable used to connect the rtp to the 1771-N I/O module to create a larger, more efficient mechanical system. Connect both ends of the 1771-NC6 cable to 25pin connectors. The 1771-N module is available in 4 - and 8-channel configurations. Connecting the relevant rtp (1771-RTP1, 1771-RTP2, 1771-RTP4) to the 8-channel I/O module requires two 1771-NC6 cables, Connecting the relevant rtp (1771-RT41, 1771-RT44) to a 4-channel I/O module requires only one 1771-NC6 cable.
