The 1762-L40BWAR is an Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic controller (PLC). The controller is the MicroLogix 1200 controller, ideal for micro and small automation requirements.
The 1762-L40BWAR mainly has two (2) communication interfaces, located on the front panel and left side of the controller. Both communication ports are 8-pin mini din circular connectors. The front panel port is the primary port that can be used to communicate with programming workstations, human machine interface (HMI), and supervisory control and Data acquisition (SCADA) systems. Programming ports are used only for controller programming, online editing, and test functions. This port works simultaneously, helping to prevent the removal of the existing connection to the primary port when simultaneous controller communication needs to be established.
The 1762-L40BWAR's embedded I/O channel includes twenty (20) standard 24VDC inputs, four (4) fast 24VDC inputs, and sixteen (16) relay outputs. The input channel consists of twenty (20) standard inputs located in input channel 4 and higher, while the fast input is located in channel 0-3.
The 1762-L40BWAR is powered by an external voltage range of 100-240VAC and a frequency of 47-63 Hz. It is designed to withstand an impulse current rating of 25A for 8 ms at 120VAC and 4 ms at 240VAC. The power usage of the controller is 82 VA, and the power output is 600 mA at 5VDC and 500 mA at 24VDC.
