The 1756-OF8 is a powerful Allen-Bradley ControlLogix analog output designed to provide optimal performance for a variety of industrial applications. It is equipped with 8 voltage-current (V/A) analog outputs and provides short-circuit protection. The module has an output rating of ± 10 volts or 0 to 20 milliamps (mA), while its signal resolution of 21 mA or 10.4 volts is 15 bits. It has a backplane current of 210 MA at 24 volts DC and 1 MA at 150.5 volts DC. The 1756-OF8 circuit has a maximum power consumption of 5.8 watts. There is also a circuit detection feature that provides overvoltage protection with a rated voltage of 24 volts DC, as well as short circuit protection by electronically limiting current levels to 21 mA or less.
