The 1756-L75K controller is a 5570 ControlLogix controller manufactured by Allen-Bradley. Its specifications are 0.98 MB of I/O memory, 32 MB of user memory, 2.5 Watts of power dissipation, 30 Volts of isolation voltage, 800 milliamps of current draw at 5.1 Volts DC, and 5 milliamps of current draw at 1.2 Volts DC. It has a 12-megabits per second USB 2.0 port for communication and no batteries are required on this module because it features a built-in energy storage module. The 1756-L75K controller can address different input/output points and it can be installed alongside multiple controllers in the same chassis.
The Allen-Bradley 1756-L75K ControlLogix controller supports a maximum of 500 connections. In its running state, it is capable of performing tasks on 32 concurrent cached message instructions drawn from all 500 connections supported by the controller. It is compatible with different industrial network protocols and it is capable of monitoring and controlling input/output locally on the ControlLogix backplane or over the network. This module has an open type of enclosure with a conformal coating that allows it to be used safely in different environments despite humidity and contamination. Its required slot width is 1 and its wire category is 3 on the USB port. Some communication options available for this unit are the DeviceNet, Data Highway Plus, and EtherNet communication networks. Additionally, the number of outgoing buffers on this controller is adjustable.
