Part number 1755-A6 is a six-slot protected PLC chassis created and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It has digital I/O running at twenty-four (24) volts direct current (DC) and various I/O test points. A temporary error is an error that occurs in an I/O module and then disappears on its own. When a temporary error occurs, the module performs a self-test. If the test is successful, the status of the I/O module will change to "good" and the normal operation of the module will resume. Examples of common uses include perimeter protection for robots or welding units, perimeter protection for packaging machines, the entertainment business (ride control and ski lift control), the semiconductor industry, press control and burner management, and the transportation industry. This 1755-A6 6-slot protected PLC case features a metal case, self-I /O testing, and multiple I/O test points.
The TUV is approved in accordance with IEC 61508 and EN 954-1 Category 4 and can be used for operations up to IEC 3 SIL 61508. The chassis supports Ethernet ports for programming, configuration, and peer-to-peer specifications. This device has available memory consisting of five hundred (500) KB of application code memory and five hundred (500) KB of application data memory. This PLC class requires a rated operating voltage of 3.3 volts DC. In addition, the product has a rated current consumption of 1.5 amps at 0 volts DC.
