Like other devices in the MVI56 series, the module is designed to work with the ControlLogix system for accurate measurement of hydrocarbon gases or liquids. The main use of the flow computer is to calculate the flow rate and obtain a complete report of the total volume, mass and heat energy generated by the specified liquid/gas. The ControlLogix memory is used to transfer calculation results through the backplane for use by program ladder programs.
