The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T7C4D8 is a PanelView Plus 6 graphics terminal. The operating terminal is a visual component that provides a graphical interface to machines and processes. The operating terminal enables an intuitive monitoring interface through the assembly of logic and display modules that contain the core components of the human machine interface (HMI) device.

The 2711P-T7C4D8 provides a color graphics display via a 6.5-inch screen with a viewing area of 132 x 99 mm (5.2 x 3.9 inches), a pixel resolution of 640 x 480, and 18-bit color graphics. Users are able to see color-coded graphic displays that are typically used to depict materials flowing in pipes or stored in containers, zone markings for typical production lines, and the status of instruments and equipment. Operators interact with the process through an analog resistive touch screen input interface designed to operate up to 1 million operations at 10-110 g of driving force. The operating terminal has 512MB of random access memory (RAM), which is used only by the operating terminal in the runtime environment.

This ensures a fast transition from HMI screen to screen, as well as smooth interaction with runtime objects. The operating terminal uses 512MB of flash memory to store HMI applications as well as system files such as trends, logs, recipes, manuals, and other related files.
